Ana Plosnić Škarić

is research assistant at the Institute of Art History, Zagreb, and has been working as a researcher at the Institute since 2000. In 2004 she defended her MA theses (Romanesque Civic Architecture in Trogir: The Example of Andreis Block) and in 2010 her PhD theses (Gothic Residential Architecture in the Town of Trogir), both supervised by Igor Fisković at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb.

A. Plosnić Škarić was a team member at the projects “Medieval Architecture and Urban Development in Croatia” (2007-2014, head of the project Diana Vukičević Samaržija, from 2012 Danko Zelić) and “Artistic Heritages from Antiquity to Early modern age” (2000-2006, head of project Diana Vukičević Samaržija), both founded by the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports of the Republic of Croatia. In June, 2013 she was trained at the Digital Visualization Workshop “The Ghetto of Venice” – Visualizing Venice Project, organized by the Venice International University, Università IUAV di Venezia and Duke University, USA, in cooperation with UNESCO, with the support of Gladys Krieble Delmas Foundation.

Since 2011 she is a Member of the Editorial Board of the “Journal of the Institute of Art History /Radovi Instituta za povijest umjetnosti” and since 2013 Member of the Editorial Board of Web Editions of the Institute of Art History: Conservational Studies / Mrežna izdanja IPU: Konzervatorske studije.

A. Plosnić Škarić’s research interests are medieval urban history, archival sources, urban development and changes of urban tissue, typology and architectural plastic of residential architecture.
